Question LEDGlow Interior Lighting Kit Install Question

Hey guys,

I'm looking into installing an LEDGlow 4 piece interior lighting kit (as cleanly as possible). Wanted to do the OEM Ambient Lighting kit, but it is too much for a college budget and doesnt have as much functionality. (DW going to frost the lenses to make it less glaring/ricey )

I wanted to hardwire it by adding a fuse or tapping a non constant source. Would you have any suggestions? Do we have any empty fuses? I know we have the ATM Mini Fuses This is my first time doing electrical work 100% on my own haha

Thanks for the help!

Way too bright IMHO ... and also the colors are rice, again IMHO. The current ambient kit is perfect (I know cost is an issues) and taps into the running lights. Sorry, don't remember exactly how as it's been a while since I installed.

you get what you pay for lol

I know Infiniti sells the OEM underdash kit for $100. I got a quote for install at Infiniti....$450. you can probably take it to an audio installation or car custom shop and have it installed for under $100.

Check out my build thread, I have pictures of my system up and running. Purchased an OPT7 16 color kit with wireless remotes.

https://www.myg37.com/forums/build-t...-thread-2.html

Its hardwired on a 10amp fuse (radio)

Pictures make it seem 10x brighter than it is, looks just like OEM ambient kit but have 15 more colors to play with. I also have the ability to make it brighter or dimmer, i usually keep it on the dimmest setting.

Let me know what you think!

That looks sharp. Just what I was looking for.
I'll probably order a set soon.

Question: Does it come on and illuminate the footwells when you open the doors, or does it only activate on ignition/Aux?

Thanks man!

It can come on with door opening, it has a second set of power wires you can lead to the door jam as aux power source but I did not do that, mine only come on with the ignition. I attempted to hardwire them to the dome, however they did not turn off after even locking the vehicle...which leads me to believe if they are wired to the domes, I would need to wire the second set of wires to the doors and it will function as you want.

Because of my limited time did not get around to it...perhaps the winter or next summer! The kit is seriously comprehensive, comes with different types of fuses, zip ties, screw drivers, etc. Much better than LEDGlow for sure!
