I am currently in the process of converting all my halogen bulbs to LED's. I used the search function but can't seem to find a definite answer as to what kelvin the OEM headlight HIDs are. Are they 5000k?
Awesome thanks........why does 4300K keep coming up as yellow everywhere ugh
^^^Pure stupidity is my guess. LoL 3K is yellow, 4300 is white, 5k has a blueish tint....but still white, 6k-6500 is fairly blue, 8k is pretty purple and pretty pointless. The sweet spot is 4300-6k for both clean color and light output. You want to focus on lumens as far as actual brightness of the light. The higher on the Kelvin scale, the less lumens or actual light output. The kelvin rating is just the temp the gas burns and determines what color it may show. Most, if not all, OEM HID's are 4300 but you see they all look different. Thats due to light housing designs

What LED kelvin you think is on the Q50 LED fog lights? 5000?

Haven't seen em...can't really say. LED's also perform differently, so you could get more lumens out of the same color LED as HID. So an 8K HID will, in theory, be dimmer than an 8K LED
Morimoto 6500K D2S bulbs are the best bang for buck, as for interior/exterior lights.. i personally bought several sets of LED bulbs before finding the perfect pure white 5000K bulbs for my interior and rear license plate.

Those are the Diode Dynamics foglights. They do fit, but on the passenger side of the coupe (I have 2013), it gets a bit tight between the washer fluid reservoir and the back of the bulb. I found I had to remove the undertray and fender liner so the body have enough flex to finesse the bulb into place.
Very bright bulbs!
