Like title says does anyone have Jdm tail lights as well as led ring turn signal mod? Wonder how it would look with the one red one amber tailight ring on with tai lights on . I have mod but found good deal on Jdm tails n was curious how it would look

 

That would defeat the purpose of getting the JDM tail as only the blinker lights up amber and the rings light up red.

 

That's what I wanted to know , I thought the rings lit up amber as well

 

If by the ring you're referring to you halos added to the tails to replace the LEDs you could do this, I just don't think it's been done yet. You'd have to but the JDM tails and then out an amber halo in under the amber blinker and a red halo (or white, idk how the standard halo mod is done) under the brake light. Hope this helps

Either way I think it'll look weird. I tried searching for videos to see how they light up and at least for coupes they seem to light up red.

The ring doesn't light up amber. The brake lights are still red, otherwise that would be confusing. The Amber color is only the signal on the JDM tails. That being said you would need to heavily modify the tail to achieve what you are looking for.

 

I have a set of JDMs, only the center lights amber on signal.
Amber turns are mandatory in …….well basically every country except US.
Amber brakes are illegal around the world.

 

I have JDM tails and did the GTR mod using an amber inner ring. I don't think that it's quite what you're asking but I'm not certain.

The blinker is amber, the brake lights are red.

 

You could follow the guide in the thread below and just leave the turn signal bulb connected. You would just need to replace the amber incandescent bulb with an LED amber bulb. Then when your turn signals come on, you'll have both LED rings and the amber LED turn signal light.

Chris, does it bug you that the red plastic in the JDM tails is a color slightly off from the red plastic in the backup lights?

I saw a couple of Sedans this weekend with JDM tails, and I like them a whole lot more than I thought I would. So much so that now I'm thinking they should be on my list for... whenever, probably next year. However, the difference between the red plastic in the tails vs. the backup lights really bugs me.

Have you researched if JDM backup lenses are a good match?
