Lightbulb Taiwan Spoilers

Anyone have experience with these painted OE-style spoilers from eBay seller BMW OEM Shop?

I like the price, and they have decent feedback.

You get what you pay for ... just go OEM. There are ton's of posts (and horror stories) about trying to save a few bucks and getting a OEM "like" spoiler. It's an expensive car, don't cheap out now on something like a spoiler which has to look good, stay in place, etc. for a long time.

Rolling the Dice

Gambled just to see what $150 buys. It just arrived via two-day UPS and I'm impressed.

The paint match is good. Very good. The fit appears to be good, it sits over the chrome spoiler and the camera peeks out through a hole. The perimeter has 3M adhesive tape all the way around. There are also two captive nuts provided if you care to drill holes.

I'll let you know how the installation goes.

Give it a few days in sun and what not see if the color still matches. I bought a spoiler from ebay for my 2013 Altima and the paint match seemed on point. Took it out in the sun and you can tell it's ever so slightly off.

Looks Great

I'm pleased.

Is it as nice as OEM? No. Is an OEM spoiler two and a half times better?

Not in my opinion.

The fit is good, no holes are required, no wiring is involved, it fits over the chrome thingy and is light enough there is no need to change the trunk's gas struts. If you want to take it off later all you need is a spare half hour and a hair dryer.

I should also mention the service from the seller, BMW OEM Shop was outstanding. It arrived about a week after I ordered it via UPS Second Day Air and was well packed.

Time will tell, but in a way I prefer this option to the factory piece.

Seems nice enough.

My only concern is living in Las Vegas and having an Obsidian Black car.

It gets to be 110 degrees here during the summer.

If a hair dryer will loosen the 3M tape, then I imagine the summer heat would as well.

3M tape is pretty durable. I use that for my lip kit on my last car and never gave any problems. I live in Boston so we experience some crazy weather from the summer and winter.

All of the badges on an Infiniti and some of the trim pieces are held on with similar trim tape. Once it sets it's pretty dang hard to peel off.
