HELP Window Rolls Down Half Way

Hello all.

I've seem to run into an issue lately. The past 3/4 times I've turn off my car as my windows are rolling up, one I turn it off the window lowers half way.

I go to raise it to the top, one I let go of he button, it rolls down half way again.

Finally, I'll get it to stay.

Anyone have an idea???

I'm not sure what G-man means by calibration, but try a window reset. Here's the window reset taken from Black Betty's DIY Grounding Wire page.

To perform a window reset:
- Start your car
- Hold down the driver side window button until the window goes all the way down and then continue for another 20 seconds
- Do the same when rolling it up.
- Repeat on the passenger side window. You'll may also need to reset your radio station presets.

It's worked for me in the past.

Window Calibration = Window Reset but it is really a calibration. There are a gazzilion posts on it and it's in the manual.

Don't need 20 seconds ... this is directly from the manual:

1. Push the ignition switch to the ON position
2. Close the door
3. Open the window more than halfway by operating the power window switch
4. Pull the power window switch and hold it to close the window, and then hold the switch more than 3 seconds after the window is closed completely
5. Release the power window switch. Operate the window by the automatic function to confirm the initialization is complete

I do this to mine once every other week, like it forgets its memory. Mostly after driving with the windows down like the seal gets in the way and it geeks out.
