Do I have DRLs??

So... I am a new Infiniti owner (came from American cars and then a Mitsu). I have a 2011 G37xS...

Stupid question, I know, but how can I tell if I have DRLs?

I thought that I had them, but being so new, I'm not sure if this trim model comes with the standard.

I ask, because I installed the "Radio Hack That Shall Not Be Named", which grounds the E-Brake wire, and I've read somewhere on the forums that the DRLs don't run with the E-Brake engaged.

I searched the forums, but I can't find anything definitive.

Post a pic of your car. Most American versions of the car don't have the DRL's by default.

Mine has them. The stack of 3 led's next to the fog light. But seems there are several different types of DRLs out there so yours might look different. From what I know mine are the Infiniti standard DRLs put on the Canada versions as they require them on their cars.

And yes from what I've read when the ebrake is on, those are off by designed.

Hope that helps.

Apreciate the info. I will go look at my car at lunch and post a pic when I get home. I assume that the DRLs on all models are near the Fog Lights? There's not chance that their part of my headlights...

As far as I know, they won't be part of the headlight unless someone added aftermarket DRLs in the housing.

Ok... so I just looked. It looks like I dont have them at all, which apparently makes sense with all the searching I did... Oh well...

Not sure I want to tackle installing an aftermarket set, and I certainly don't want to swing for the OEM ones... $600 for LEDs is outrageous.

Yes, I was very happy that the car I just got actually had the OEM ones on it already. I would never have purchased them at that price either. Installing these you'd have to remove the front bumper and I'm not ready to start tackling that at this point.
