Agreed. I got the HP3s and XP50s from Diode Dynamics some time ago and life is good. Well... except for the neighbors across the street whose house I light up at 6 AM with my license plate and reverse LEDs.

Really, though, no guesswork or anything like that. Install and enjoy.

Does is make it brighter/easier to see in your back-up camera? That's what I mostly want it for.
Post a pic if you can.

Interested in upgrading as well, but only for rear visibility as my windows are tinted in the rear. If it look's "cool" but doesn't provide usable light, then it isn't an "upgrade"

If someone would be so kind as to tell me what options provide more usable light, it would be much appreciated

For the rear camera, the license plate lights upgrade made the most impact. The backup lights upgrade improved visibility out the rear window and the mirrors which would probably interest you most. I also have a tint and that's what I found.

Nice! Do you have a brighter license plate light bulb as well or is that just from the aftermarket bulbs you bought?

The issue, I'm sure you're aware, is that the reverse lights shoot straight back, whereas the license plate lights cast down and away, illuminating the ground.

Just get both and be done with it.

Haven't been on in a while. Mandatory pics:

Ive never had a problem with them, overall. There have been 1-2 cases where I would've preferred to have them a little brighter but Ive been happy with them in the time Ive owned them. They have never given me any problems and the color is exactly an OEM look much like many cars that come with LED reverse lights from the factory.

Those phillips bulb look like they actually utilize the reflectors pretty well.

How are these? Any examples of the output? Wondering on the quality of this vs. Diode Dynamics.

Also of concern: The backup cam is very much used when we are closing in on objects. Would having a projector bulb of this brightness oversaturate the picture? The pic of the bright license plate lights through the backup camera certainly had the ground oversaturated

Extra Confused reading through this. Got a '13 g37x sedan about 6 months ago, looking to upgrade: rear lights, plate light, some interior lights and dislike the fogs.

Which Diode Rears are popular: HP36? I suspect these are comparable to phillips or the samsung t10s

would you recommend HP3s for interior and rear plate? would like a little whiter, only slightly brighter.

Fogs seem annoying... Don't know if just swapping to LED bulbs or if going HiD for more output is better, will be researching.
