Brabus style puddle lights
Brabus style puddle lights
Have anyone installed puddle lights on their G before? ive seen some pictures on G35 coupes and other vehicles that have them installed. They seem cool and made me brought them from ijdmtoy. But i dont know which wires i should tap into. i want it to turn on when the door is unlocked or open just like the interior lights. But i can't seem to find which and where the wire that i should tap into. The lights i brought look like the one that is shown in the pictures below
At least they only turn on when you unlock the car or open the door(s). I wouldn't exactly group it as the ricer neon lights (although they are starting to trend again in Japan so who knows when they'll become a hit once more in US).
I installed the OEM security lighting kit (for the Altima Coupe in my case). Being that I already had the illuminated kickplates I was able to just tap into those two wires at each kickplate. When I unlock or open the door they come on.
For me the hardest part of the install was removing the bloody side skirts. Those clips are a royal PITA. But overall I love the look and have received plenty of compliments. Plus, living in the sticks, I caught many a wild creature lurking under my car.
