xml2 fog lights on g37S

Bit the bullet after owning my g37S for a few months and bought some fog lights. Hated to drop the money on the DD xml2's so I got some from eBay. Install went fairly well. Passenger side was a pain getting such a long bulb by the washer reservoir. But these are a night and day difference. EBay sellers only carry 6000k whereas DD has 4300k and 5000k. I personally feel these are closer to 5000k. Standing in front of the car they match the headlights very closely. But sitting in the car I can really tell a difference. Factory headlights appear very yellow compared to the xml2's. A slight him can be heard but not intrusive at all. Will wait to see how they hold up over time but as for today, well worth the money. Almost regret ordering the Osram CBI 5500k headlights. Will update when they are installed.

Daytime shot with the new fog lights and factory headlights.
Inside the garage showing xml2 on left and factory fog light on right. Of course factory headlights are on too.

Got the Osram CBI and can't say I'm impressed. Color matches the factory 4300k perfectly, no whiter nor a hint of blue. I figured the 5500k rating would put them close to 6000k color and match my fog lights. I don't expect them to change color after burning in because I've never had my hid's on other cars do that. So what gives? Purchased from an authorized sellar not the fake Chinese eBay ones.

Me to

I'm in the same boat. My cbi's do not match the morimoto 5k fogs. I feel like my dogs light the road up more then the headlights. U was expecting a lot I guess from all of the reviews.

I at least expected whiter light. I put one in and turned them on and compared. Could not tell any difference. I've seen great reviews and pics. May end up reselling and just buying cheap 6000k bulbs from eBay. Just need to make sure they work with factory ballast. I've got a 2011 g37 sedan and have heard they don't play well with aftermarket hid's.
