Help Window switch finisher (cover, plate) removal

Window switch finisher (cover, plate) removal

Can anyone with experience with this tell me if I need to remove the door panel to remove my window switch assembly on the drivers door - 2008 G37 coupe?

Yes, you must remove the door panel in order to access the switch assembly. I learned this the hard way when I did the power fold mirror project. Relatively easy to do. Here is a link to the DIY:

Thank you... I thought so. I have the expensive carbon fiber parts on my door panels and wanted to avoid having to remove them for fear of cracking them. I was hoping there was a few clips that would allow me to just pop it out. Appreciate your help!!!
