ok......so something weird happened this morning lol. im driving my car and every light in the vehicle all shut off 5 minutes into my ride to work but the car was still driving fine. no lights at all, no blinkers, radio, windshield wipers, nothing! pulled over turned the car off then back on. every light came back on. immediately the SEL (service engine soon light) came on. 2 minutes later my key fob light came on, both these lights stayed on my entire commute to work. I have not started it up yet for Im at work but this kinda freaks me out. I have never had a single problem like this ever!


it may be a coincidence but last night on the way home we had really bad rain and I did drive through a big puddle of water I didn't see. drove through it going about 40mph and it was a big enough puddle im sure I shot a 15 foot wave. I have no idea if this is related but the only thing I can think of is I might have knocked a ground loose from the bottom of the car going through the water. I have no Idea


hope everything just goes back to normal when I crank it up for lunch.

 

Before anything else, find out what code is displayed for the CEL. Once you know what that is, you can find out what's actually wrong by simply looking it up (Google "Nissan (or Infiniti) [code number]"). All we can do is give you educated or completely ignorant guesses. My guess is BCM.

 

yep. BCM. this just happened to me. Hard rain, and the intellikey warning light is on, none of my windows work, no interior lights, and my doors will unlock but not lock. dealer is stating 700-1000 for repair.
