As far as i know, having it automatic based on the key would be possible but why not program it to your remote so when you hit unlock, it does default to your setting? And use another remote for the second person who may drive?

What I do....
Set mem 2 to all the way back & steering wheel up so I have more room to get in & out & link it to the fob.
Set mem 1 to driving position.
When I use the fob to unlock the car I get mem 2, when I get seated I hit mem 1 on the door & get my driving position.
When I park the car I hit mem 2, seats goes back & I exit.

Did this with my Acura I had for 10 years.

I had that Idea too, however, that's kinds defeats the purpose of having Auto recline seat

It's a security feature that's for the coupe..but the sedans have them. I'm surprise nobody has figured out a bypass/have a module to bypass it.

It's because there is no back seat leg room. If the drivers seat were to go all the back while someone was sitting there, it would smash their legs. Or they would have no room to get in until the car was started.

My car automatically moves the driver's seat all the way back when I open the door.
