Honestly, paint is not my strong suit. I can wash, wax, buff small scratches... I'll do suspension/exhaust/motor work all day long... But, I didn't trust myself with doing this job after what the first shop told me (may not be able to come out). I would have rather paid someone to do it then screw it up myself and it bit me in the ***.

4 years of florida sun I guess does a number on a pinstripe getting etched into the paint.

I am pretty upset about it too. But, what can I do?? Not much more besides complain about it. I don't want them touching my car again.

Agreed, the only thing you can do is research next time, even if it means paying a premium

Good luck

You can always request a charge back from the credit card company for poor workmanship.

Hm interesting theory.

I always pay cash for the discount, but also receive a writeup and a receipt. Guess the charge back is a last ditch effort, never thought about it but I guess it's a worthy backup

Discount for cash is not worth it. Anyone that gives you more than about 3% is a tax evader. I would not hand the keys to my car over to a criminal. Shady is shady.
