Door light or LED light?
Well im going to guess all the ones from the US is going to be white :/. The red one i have was from a year ago on ebay from a seller in china. see if i can find it, i mean it works fine and all... i brought the wind and fire ones for "made in USA" mentality
Think it was this one, but i won't guarantee you will get the red lettering...

Can anyone with these projectors test something for me? My local Infiniti discovered the root of my issue was these projectors.
If any door is open, the trunk release button on the trunk doesn't work. Likewise, the trunk release button on the remote also doesn't work. Removing these projectors fixes the problem.
Please test this, and report back if you could. Also, please let me know if you have the wind fire brand, or an alternative, and where you got it. The year of your car and whether or not it's a coupe or sedan would also be useful data to have.
My theory thus far is that they draw too much current and that messes things up. I can take 1 out and it works fine. There is also a person with a 2013 who doesn't experience this problem. So far, I've confirmed that 2 people with a 2011 and 1 with a 2009 have this problem. The 1 person with a 2013 doesn't have this issue.

So... Get rid of one projector, or make sure all doors are shut, or use the dash release switch.
Very interesting find, with 3 simple solutions.
BTW mine is a 2013, i got curious and wanted to see what would happen if i plugged in more projectors... i plugged in 5 and the trunk still worked. Btw if u have a multimeter or something, check the current.

I have a 2013 and have been experiencing this exact issue. I never thought the lights could cause the issue.
I will try removing them tonight and put in my stock lights and see if the issue is gone.
I've also noticed that sometimes when I am sitting in the car and someone opens a door, the display shows that no key is present, even though it is in my pocket. Doesn't always happen, but sometimes it does.
Thanks for posting this. I also have the Wind Fire version.

Sorry for digging up this old thread, but is the best place to buy these Windfire? Or should I go with amazon.
Ashamed that there's problems with the trunk release, might have to just get one for the driver's side then.
Thanks guys!
