Can this welcome lighting be installed on the G37 coupe

Since G37 coupe does not have any kind of welcome lighting, on the door handles, like the Q50 or the BMW, I was wondering if this can be installed on the G37. It is a welcome lighting accessory for the Q50 and other new nissan models. I think it looks good as it is connected with the dome lights and are only on when you unlock the car. How do you think it would look if installed on the G37?

Thanks

Nissan part is $120 vs the $190 for the Infiniti. I guess you have to pay premium just because of the brand, even though it will be the same thing.

I bought the Altima Coupe kit and it will fit perfectly on my G Coupe. I haven't installed it yet because of time, weather, and family matters. The only differences will be the colors of the wires you will be tapping into at the BCM and mounting the strips on the side skirts. I hope to have it installed soon and will post a update. But, yes, it will work.

As for the lighted door handles on the Q50, a member on the Nissan forum posted a DIY for his Maxima. Here is the link:

I'm considering it but am working on adding the JDM mirror winkers first. Hope some of this helps!

Would love to see how this gets done. If you can post up pictures as you go through the install that'd be appreciated. Good luck.

interesting idea, doesn't it make more sense for the lights to come on when the prox key is within range? that would be more useful, in my mind

This is how it works on the M and yes, makes much more sense this way.

Yes it would make more sense if the lights came on when the iKey is in range like the M and the Q50, but unless there is a software setting somewhere in the BCM, the G doesn't work the same way.

Correct me if I'm wrong..... for if the G would work the same as the M and the Q, then that's how I would wire it up.

I am thinking on installing that on a IPL too, if possible can you post a picture of your car? and did you have to drill holes in the side skirts?
