Turned out really good! How much did the lot run you? I've been contemplating going DD or piecing my own LED kit together through DDM.

My first upgrade was an inexpensive one but completely changed the look of the interior and I couldn't be happier.

I order all of the SMD2 interior LEDs and license plate LEDs from Diode Dynamics a little over a week ago. I ended up calling to make sure I was getting the correct "stage" since I read on here that they were/are in the process of changing the way bulbs were listed. Nick (not sure which one, since I believe there are two) was a huge help and made sure that I was getting exactly what I wanted. The bulbs came in two days later and were packed/labeled really well. Total install time was about 30 mins (should've been 20 or less), only because one of the license plate light housing got snagged and I wanted to make sure I didn't damage anything.

Like I previously said, I couldn't be happier with their product/service. I'm in the process of deciding on which D2S, fogs, and all other exterior lights I should go with, but unless y'all have some different recommendations I'll most likely go with DD since I was so impressed by the way the interior lights turned out. The only complaint I have is the decal they sent me with the lights, it'll take up the entire back window lol. I'll work on a window decal for them and send it out for production
Mark it zero, have you ever installed this type of lighting before? I'm seeing your results (loving them btw) and reading it only took you 30 min.....Tell me plz, is this something a total rookie could accomplish in an hour? I've wanted a DD kit for what feels like forever but what keeps holding me back is the thought of myself inside my beloved G takin **** apart n not being able to put it back together or lord forbid breaking off a key piece of plastic.

It's extremely easy to install, probably the easiest mod you can do to your G FWIW

It's the same process as replacing your factory bulbs

Installed the map, door & trunk lights. A lot cheaper then where I used to buy them. But they seem to be about the same output.

Thanks

I was referring to the ease of installation of your interior lighting kit? Is this an easy install? Especially if it's someone who hasn't donr lighting changes on a vehicle ever before?

Exceptionally easy, most likely the easiest modification you'll ever do to your G37

If you have any questions about the installation, feel free to give us a call: (314) 205-3033

Thanks!

I'm Paul, the owner of Diode. I drive an 09 coupe, and I've installed LEDs on about a hundred different makes and models of vehicles, and Nissan/Infiniti is by far the easiest to change out. I love it.

Glove box takes a few minutes because you have to take out a few screws, but it's still very easy. No super-tight spots, hard-to-reach bulbs, etc. Should take you no more than 30 minutes to change everything out.

Although It was a little tricky to replace the map lights. I have big fingers & couldn't grasp & pull the stock bubs out easily. 1 I got & the other I used a plastic pointed object to pry it out.

Great informative post here, visited the DD website. Pics are worth a thousand words, nice side by side comparisons; stock vs. the various stages. IMO stage 2 is spot on (looking at pics), but after reading listed reviews stage 1 seems to be the choice....2 being to overwhelming inside........thoughts here? Greatly appreciated before I order....thanks Jay

LED fogs?

By the way, are there any instructions on how to install the fogs...thinking about getting a kit from DD, but not sure that the XML2's will fit my G37 (2011 X Sedan). Anyone have experience or opinions on the XML2s vs. the XP80s?

so it took about 30 minutes or so, but I'm done! The interior kit is very nice, and the leds are so bright. Great upgrade!

Now if I can only find where the "city light" bulbs go...where the hell is the city light??
