Just got a 2012 G37 as well, looking to do ceramic here in Texas. Deciding how much I want to spend, there is a 60% heat reduction option from a company Sun Tint in Austin for $270 or the advanced with IR for 360. Any more insight is welcome.

I went Huper Optik on my 2013 G37 after having in on my old 2003 G35 for 10 years. Love it. Cost more than other tints, but great heat rejection and no discoloration, cracking or peeling on my G35 for 10 years. Make sure you find a good installer. I've heard Huper Optik is harder to install, that's why a lot of shops don't carry it (plus the premium price)

Not sure what my first tint person put on my car but 20% was too dark and I couldnt see out. For some reason when I got my car done this time with ceramic I got darker but it seemed better.

I can really tell the difference with ceramic and I'm going to get a the front windshield done as well with a little or no tint.

You can really feel (well not feel) the difference on the skin.

FYI:
It's worth the extra $100 bucks or so to get the front windshield done.

After having 3M tint installed 3 weeks ago, it just never looked right. So i fired my tint guy, had the tint removed, went with Llumar CTX 30% all around. Dried in 3 days, looks great. Saved 150 bucks going to another valley shop. Lesson learned do the research before pulling the trigger.
