Help! Vanity Light LED Conversion
Help! Vanity Light LED Conversion
Hi all! So I purchased the LED vanity lights for my G37S and the first set I received did not fit. They were too long and would not snap into the holder. They worked and come on, but would not snap into place. So, I ordered another set from ijdmtoy and I got the exact same bulbs, which means they are also too long and will not snap into place.
I researched which bulbs to get before ordering and it's pretty much all over the place that they need to be 29mm bulbs, so I ordered these:
iJDMTOY 3-SMD 6614 LED Vanity Light Bulbs For Car Sun Visor Lamps
These bulbs are not even close to be short enough to fit. They are 1.15" long and probably should be 1" at max. Anyone know why my particular '08 G37S appears to take different bulbs than what everyone else says to use?
I'm tired of ordering stupid LEDs, waiting for them to arrive, and then finding out they don't fit. So, I'm probably gonna get my dremel out and see if I can shave enough off the ends so that they'll go in. The connection to the bulb is on the side, not the ends, so as long as shaving off the ends don't damage the connection to the LED board, I should be good.
Anyway, so I hope I can get these to work, but I'm just really confused how these work for everyone else, but not me.

So I grabbed the dremel and cut a little bit off of both ends so it would fit and it worked. At least I don't have to order more LEDs and wait for those. I'm not sure why these are supposed to work, but don't, but I got them to fit and they're working fine.
