Help me pick my DRL LED layout

So this thread inspired me to do something to lift the look of my coupe's frontend.

UPDATE: INSTALL COMPLETED - SEE #post3794073

Here's how it currently sits:

I messed around w/photoshop (use ur imagination, i'm not a pro) and came up with the following configurations for adding some lighting to my currently-empty fog grille inserts. Any votes?

1) inner corner of fog grille insert:

2) outer corner of fog grille insert:

3) row:

4) upper inner corner of fog grille insert:

I voted #2.

#1 looks out of place.
#3 looks like every other aftermarket cheap upgrade.
#4 maybe if they were closer to the inside edges.

What do you like?

thx Paratrooper (for ur input AND OP inspiration)

I'm really undecided - 1, 2 and 4 all appeal to me (in that order)

I really like what the OP did here, it's a more subtle LED setup but really flows well IMO and enhances the overall look.

If there were a gun to my head and I had to pick one, I'd go with #2... That said, #5 is the best option...

thx for your input, all .

changed my oil last night and did the install while she drained. I went with #2, just with 2 LEDs instead of the 3. really pleased with how it came out.

My only gripe is that the LEDs are a bit bluer than I envisioned. but i'm warming up to it quickly.

Not bad, BTW, liking that grill quite a bit
Garage looks damn nice on the outside, inside looks like you've been quite busy

Looks good! 2 LEDs per side is enough IMHO.

What color temp. are the LEDs? 6000k?

thx yall.

paratrooper - yeah your pics definitely influenced my decision. i installed 2 X 2, but only wired the bottom bulbs - the output from 1 per side is plenty as you can see.

RE: garage - note to self to crop pics a bit tighter... cuz i'm definitely not cleaning the garage anytime soon

RE: temp - yeah, 6000. http://www.ebay.com/itm/6-x-3W-LED-Eagle-Eye-White-Light-Daytime-Running-DRL-Tail-Backup-Light-Car-Motor-/121299081765?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1c3dfd1a25&vxp=mtr

I donno, I've been trying to find out myself (the car came with both the one shown, and the stock one). The fitment isnt great, but i like the agressive look... i keep imagining what it'd look like with a stillen g3 or takeda intake peeking through...

on some/most of the aftermarket grills, the emblem is removable from the inside. I saw it mentioned on a couple of the bumper removal DIYs on here.
