Sport Seats in a BASE Sedan

Hey Y'all,

I'm pretty new to the G37 world and I'm still getting used to this forum so mind my ignorance.

I've stumbled across a 2013 G37XS in junkyard that was deemed 'salvage' before it hit the dealership.

Essentially, I'm looking to strip this thing down for its breaks, wheels, paddle shifters, and its seats!

The main question would be, are these sport seats 'plug and play' for my base model or would there be some modding involved?

Thanks

I 'think' the seats should be fine. the xS sedan does NOT have the BBK.

I'd recommend trying the seats before you go through the hassle. A lot of people seem to find the sport seats overly confining.

I'm not 100% certain about them being a plug n play swap. But try this: remove your seat and take a photo of the bottom of it and of each of the connectors. Remove the sport seat (it's only held down by 4 easy bolts) and take the same photos and compare them.

The dealer would know the answer as well. I prefer the sport seats, but as others have mentioned, they are a bit confining for larger/heavier set folks.

$1500 for both seats. Not sure if I'm going to do it.

That's crazy, the sport package option was only like 1,500 bucks on the X.

yeah but all you really get are the seats right (and a different front bumper)?

seats, bumper, darker lights, paddles, wheels, and a red S. I think the non-s looks to plain so the sport package was a must for me.

The sports seats are Plug and Play. I had the Black Sport sedan and my current one is just a Journey, So since I still had my black one I yanked the seats out and and installed them on my current sedan. Been almost a year and no problems.

I know there are some Gsedans without heated seats and that swap would be questionable or would require the heat switch modules as well.

Thank you everyone for your input. I decided not to get them. $1500 is a bit pricey for just seats.
Everything else that I asked about was priced as such.
Wheels and tires $1000.
Seats $1500
heated seat switch $50
Paddle shifters $140 pair

I'm in Atlanta. I agree, too much just for seats. The guy just wants top dollar since everything is brand new.
