headlight silver line...can someone confirm if this factory?

My Graphite Shadow '11 has the silver line going up the outside and it fades out as it makes the corner at the top. It's hard to see the silver line against the Graphite Shadow on the fender. Looking at it at night the line does appear to be under the plastic of the headlight. I'll try to get a picture of it tomorrow.

The silver lines are under the plastic.
Could it be the adhesive that holds the headlight together?
