So as the title says the backlight of my RPMs flickers and goes in and out I dont know what it could be from and the dealer charges me $150 just to see me. Any help will be appreciated.

 

Could just be bad wiring. You could have a loose connection in there. I doubt it would be fuse related.

 

Do you have any Idea where those wire would be? I think it happened after installing my cai.

 

I'm assuming it's right under the dash, or behind it.

 

I was noticing that it would flicker every time i hit a pothole. Ok Ill check under the dash tomorrow and let you guy know if it works.

Same on my 08. Weird thing is that it just flickers when it wants... I'm going to have to strip the cluster down sometime this month....

 

Did this dash light issue get fixed. My 09 is having the same issue. The back lighting on the temp gauge is off and on randomly, and now the whole cluster(including the center info in "red") goes out and then comes on a day later.
Also any info on the dash disassembly would be helpful.

 

I'm stuck in the same boat. $800ish to replace.
