G37 Sedan Illuminated Floor Sills
Well damn, I saw the harness in the pictures before I bought. Not knowing any better I thought that was all I needed. But it seems it does NOT come with all the needed wires for a plug and play install?
Can the harness be bought separate? Or did my install just get harder?

Unfortunately these kits did not include the proper T-harness for installation. From what it looks like, this kit is actually for the M platform. Even though there is no harness, the installation is a piece of cake.
I'll put together an updated DIY for installing these later today/tomorrow with some pictures so you all can see which wires need to be tapped. I was able to get the fronts done in 30 minutes today. Didn't get a chance to install the rears but those are a piece of cake since there is no wiring required for the rear.
If you want to tackle the install before I can get pictures posted, here is what you need to do:

If you want to tackle the install before I can get pictures posted, here is what you need to do:
- Begin by removing trim pieces on the passenger side
- Passenger kick plate can be removed by using your fingers and getting underneath the bottom and pulling towards the sunroof.
- The trim piece revealing the BCM can be removed once the black plastic locking screw is removed on the floor board
- Remove the top-most plug on the BCM. Look for the green plug on the module, and move two white plugs up towards the glovebox. Remove this plug.
- Remove the shielding on the harness to expose the wires
- Switch to the illuminated sill harness - take a pair of wire cutters and remove the plug on the end of the harness. Ensure you are cutting the plug off IN FRONT of the inline fuse, and NOT either of the plugs that accept sills themselves.
- Use a pair of t-tap wire connectors to connect the RED and WHITE wires from the sill harness to the BCM harness.
- WHITE (SILL HARNESS) connects to > SKY BLUE (BCM HARNESS)
- RED (SILL HARNESS) connects to > MINT GREEN (BCM HARNESS)
- Once your connections are tapped, plug in a sill BEFORE MOUNTING it to the vehicle to ensure your connections have been successfully made. If all works well, ensure your tapped connections are secured. I chose to put heat shrink over mine to prevent them from opening up.
- Begin following the installation instructions for the rest of the install and reassemble the vehicle accordingly.

Thank you

Not a problem at all - I know it's frustrating to get something and not be able to install it with the advertised "Plug and Play" method.
One thing I think I'm going to do is dremel out part of the lip where the wire goes OVER to get inside the door jamb. As of right now, you wrap the wire in some foam tape and it goes over a metal lip. I don't know how long it will last like that so I think I'm going to dremel out a small hole for the wire to rest in, in order to protect it from being crimped or broken from sitting ON TOP of that metal lip. Seems like a better way to install the wiring, IMHO.
If you don't know what I'm talking about, you will see what I'm talking about when you proceed with the install.

Step 4 is a bit confusing. Which white connector do you disconnect? The top one above the green plug and next to the smaller black plug?

You are disconnecting the white plug that is the at the top of the BCM and the closest to the glove box. There is only 1 option for that.
I just did this on my convertible and had to fabricate my own harness. It wasn't too bad but on the vert the BCM is in the passenger kick panel and some work was done standing on my head.
Odd too that the Infiniti directions call out 5amp for the vert and 3amp fuse for sedan. I would assume the name plate elements are both LED and identical for both cars.

You don't need to fabricate a harness for this. That would truly be more work than tapping the two wires you need to tap.
Once I get the picture taken care of, it'll be clear to everyone and the install shouldn't take more than an hour.
It took me a total of 30 minutes to do the left and right side.

You have to fabricate a harness if the guy that sold you the used sill plates doesn't want to take the time to pull the harness. Of course my install is different being a vert. Probably should have posted in the coupe DIY. All of the models are remarkably similar.
