LOLOLOLO, too funny about the bump close. Ive done that in other cars unintentionally but ended up with the trunk wide open instead of closed

I also have a bmw a 2012 which does the same exact trunk thing. Regardless of which method used to open it all it does is "pop" the lock open. The struts on the G are more of a soft close type of thing so it doesnt slam shut. Of course mine are utterly worn out too so the trunk bangs shut and feels like its going to bust the tailights. Just consider it a one finger auto close with speed feature. We've got the easiest and fastest closing trunks on the market!

Lol. I am considering leaving my struts bad so that all I have to do is let go and it closes!
