I voted to keep them, because your right on the edge of making these look awesome, like everyone else said.. bigger LEDs and same spacing. I almost would like to see them going across the top of the trim and down the sides...instead of under and out. But all and all.. clean work.
After seeing DRL strings on everything from Kias to Nissan Sentras they've kinda run their course.
That said, I really like what Envee did here, the lights are individual rather than a string, the lights are small and unassuming, the spacing and flow is well done. I think bigger LEDs in this case would take away rather than enhance, and IMO what he did here was enhance the look with a subtle well-executed DIY. Would like some night shots though.

Thanks! I appreciate all the feedback, good and otherwise constructive. I initially had the same concern regarding the size of the LED's. As blnewt pointed out, the large LED's are everywhere! I really liked the shape of the car and the insert that goes there. I wanted to highlight that. I figured it would be easier to accomplish that with a larger number of smaller LED's. Plus I originally bought them to do an ironman headlight, so I had them on hand. The smaller lights are growing on me and as you can see in the below pic, they look a lot better at night.

I've decided that I absolutely have to complete the ironman headlights come warmer weather. I think it would look awesome combined with the result of this project. I've never opened up a headlight assembly, let alone removed one lol, so my next step is to read through a lot of DIY's and consume youtube video. With that said, if anyone has a link handy for an A+ writeup in regards to either of those topics, I'd like to read them.
As for a DIY, its honestly super simple. Figuring out the first light took me roughly 2 hours, but the second no more then 30 minutes. I'll write up a DIY for those interested. Give me a few days.
@Paratrooper
I actually marked out a few directions with some strips of paper before hand. I decided on this direction. I wanted to place a centre focus towards the infiniti logo which I had plans on illuminating using ELwire. My only concern is it would end up looking tacky. I want to just barely illuminate a few key outlines of the logo but I think the ELwire would be too neon; not quite what I want. Maybe its accomplishable by angling a few of these small LED's at key area's of the emblem. I also have a spare emblem from my old bumper which I was briefly testing. I still want to do it if I can get it right.
