hey bri, i was finally brave enough to remove the chrome fog light trim. I must admit the cracking and plastic tension sound was troubling but at the end I was able to remove it without any problems. Thank you once again for your inputs as it was very helpful. Now, I can finally plastic dip the chrome part..

Why didnt you dip it on the car? I did mine like that, super easy. Just masked around the entire area and laid the dip, then peeled off the lense. WaLa.DOMO

You dipped the grill or just the emblem on the car?

I dipped mine. Came out better than expected, but I'm still gonna paint it properly. Either with duplicolor or paint it at a shop.

After getting my moonlight G back in November, I decided to toy around with the black grill by plastidipping it, seeing if I liked it, and then deciding if the midnight grill was worth it.

About 5 coats of plastidip later, the grill looked much better than I expected! I like the matte black look and its held up to the Chicago winter very well.

I just ordered the midnight grill off eBay for $130 as well. I figured I can really get a side-by-side comparison and post it up sometime next week!

As promised, here are a few comparison pics of the plastidipped grille vs. the midnight grille. My fog rings are also plastidipped for those of you dicussing earlier.

Personally, I love the look of the midnight grille, it just looks a lot more refined than plastidip ever could. But it all comes down to cost. For $130, the midnight grille was an excellent investment!

Please excuse the cracked license plate frame, it's getting fixed ASAP!

Dude, try the colored new spray paint "bra". You can get it in black or other color and then peel off if you don't like.

I plasti dipped mine and compared to the oem grill I like the matte black look better. I would go for a midnight grill but not within my list yet.
