Katzkin Leather

For those of you who are not happy with the quality of the leather in the G, there is an alternative. Real, quality leather that is made to order, so to speak.

I had my seats done in my truck and it is soft, and it is ALL leather, not just where your skin touches.

You can choose your color, go two tone, have embroidery done, contrast stitching, perforations, and you can pick different styles.

Just throwing it out there for anyone who may want a change to make their car look different. SoCal peeps can PM me if they want the shop I used. My deal is done, so I get no kickbacks and you don't have to tell anyone I sent you... just sharing info.

I had Kazskin dealer installed on my 07 Altima SE. It killed OEM leather by far.

*sigh* Already installed nerf bars, leather and a K&N drop in. Looking for black wheels to replace the OEM alloys... trying to go lighter again, but the options are not as plentiful for 4x4's as they are for the G.

There is offset and backspacing. Confusing me. I don't want to lower or lift it and I want to stay as close to stock as possible. I don't want the wheels poking out, I think that looks stupid, even on a 4x4.

I had Katzkins installed in my Miata. Only two seats obviously but i got the covers for 200 and installation was 100. Awesome leather- still glove soft after 4 years and much exposure to sun. The Miata is also garaged so it never gets respite from the elements like my other 3 cars.

I was going to get the Katzkins custom done in the Jeep I was going to get before I settled on the G. Plus you can go total custom on colors/style of leather.

The miata is one if the rawest, stripped-down, drivers cars I've ever been in. Don't hate on the miata, the force is strong with that one.

Just checked out the Katzkin website...Infiniti isn't one of the makes on the interior selector page...

No, it's just refferred to as a "Chick's Car", there was a "Yes, Dear" episode where Greg wanted to buy one, everyone was telling him it's a chick's car and he got rid of it when he saw a little girl driving a battery powered, Barbie version. No harm

The price for mine, installed and out the door was $1,395, but I had a lot of options added in such as two-tone, contrast stitching, perforations, embroidery, etc.

It took them about 4-5 hours to do it. They remove your old covers and install these, which are pre-fabricated for your specific make/model. I see Infiniti is not on their site, but I'll bet if you call they can do it. MUCH nicer than the factory leather from Infiniti.

Exactly.

Glad you base your perceptions on cars on network TV

You need to drive one. It's a pure driver's car- light, well-balanced, short throws on the shifter (you literally just flick your wrist) and RWD. Besides, any chick who can drive a stick (nearly 90% of the first gen Miata's are manual) is alright with me!
