IPDM close ups/Hack fog lights to stay on with high beams

Hey guys, I just finished a hack to allow my integrated fog lights to stay on when the high beams are on.

So some background: I did https://www.myg37.com/forums/d-i-y-i...hid-xenon.html since the halogens look gross next to our HID headlights but realize that they basically served as high beams after that, which was fine since I did https://www.myg37.com/forums/d-i-y-i...rt-bumper.html also and have actual fogs. What was not fine was that the integrated fog lights turn off when you engage the high beams

I have issues with authority and Nissan telling me what I can and cannot do, so I dived into the service manual (EXL section) and checked out the circuit diagram for the IPDM. Shorting the relay trigger for the fog lights with the high beams should enable the fogs and high together, so tonight I dived in and tried it out. Took some pics of the inside circuit board that you guys might be interested in since you can do many other lighting control hacks in there such as fog lights without head lights. So without further ado, what you came here for:

You guys are probably familiar with the fuse compartment already:

but take out all the fuses and pry at the tabs on the side...

Voila! and the underside...

A little closer at the head light/fog light section

and with my hack in place

Note: In hindsight I should've used a diode instead of just a wire because now my high beams activate also when the fog light switch is on not too big a problem since I always use them together anyways but just a consideration for others wanting to hack around in here.

Enjoy and happy hacking!
