Daytime Running Lights

Anyone get the OEM 3 LED daytime running lights for the G37 installed? If so how do they look (I have seen the catalog pics, like to see real life ones) and do they work flawlessly?

That link says that his are custom and aftermarket. He installed them. Not likely to be the oem ones you are describing. Do you have a link to the oem listing/catalog?

Just the ones you can find on the Infiniti site under accessories. Says they are 3 LED DRL and they kind of look like a triangle next to the fog lights. The ones above look good though, thanks 1137GS!

The 3 LED's shaped as a triangle would be for the non-sport bumper.
& the one '1137GS has on his G are OEM LED's for the sport bumper. Both are OEM Infiniti accessories.

$600 is awfully steep for LED's.

After having day time running lights on a few of my vehicles, I have determined they are more of a pain then they are worth. I have gotten to the point where I would just assume run with my head lights on then daytime running lights. After you drive at night enough times thinking your head lights are on when they are not you switch them off in the settings. Trust me it gets frustrating.

Plus on the G much like the Z they look like after thoughts, not something that was a part of the design.................maybe because they are after thoughts..............

If they were a hundred bucks they'd be afterthoughts, @ $600 that's $100 per bulb, that would take a bit of thought to bite the bullet on that one IMO.

Plus if your not comfortable installing them yourself it costs an arm and a leg to have the dealership install them. I'd like to have them but I'm not spending over a grand on some LEDs.

Installation is also amazingly complicated:

Removal of front bumper, wheel liners, lower dashboard, center council finisher (MT), IPDM... Very expensive to buy and time consuming to install. I think I'll pass...

I had the OEM installed at the stealership and paid around $1400 and they informed me that I got lucky as that quoted me for 4 hours of labor but took them closer to 9 hours. I think they look spectacular though so whatever. Lots of $ for lights but it puts a smile on my face. On my car they turn off when any other light is turned on. I haven't tried turning off the fogs and seeing if they turn on.

Wow those are expensive!!

It was cool when Audi first did them, but now everything from a Honda accord to a KIA soul has led strip lights.
