Auto up/down window

Hello,

I recently got my G37 and winter season has just hit.

I was wondering if the freezing cold, and ice during the winter season be harmful for the auto up/down windows when you open and close the doors.

I noticed earlier this morning I opened my door and the window regulator made a loud sound before rolling down when I tried opening my door. I believe it is from ice frozen near the window seals.

But yea, anyone else have this problem during the winter season, is this normal and would be harmful in the future for the auto up/down window feature?

Is there a way to disable this feature?

Please let me know, Thanks!

The auto window drop is necessary fir the door to open and close. But I made the same mental note of " clear the ice at bottom of the glass before opening the door otherwise I'm going to have power window issues"
