Those with hood vents
Better be by hand LOL, yea the water in the engine bay sux but you need it especially if FI my hood is a " one off" so I don't have a lot of big vents I try to spay away from the vent holes an usually pop the hood after and wipe down what I can .
I like idea Sam. I've been debating going with a vented hood (mostly for looks) but the idea of water getting in the bay has been a turn off. If you came up with something carbon signal could mass produce, I'd be in.

Boss mustangs had a functional flap that was activated via a **** inside, probably wouldn't be hard to wire up, but most things are waterproof under your hood anyway. Another option might be fitting a prefilter to the scoop/vent, companies sell relatively inexpensive prefilter material that is hydrophobic.
Hmmm.. I like the idea of a "hydro-phobic" filter. As you said everything is mostly covered. I'm just concerned with sensors and a few wires here and there in my engine bay.
It's trickle down military tech iirc. I run one on my 4x4 because I don't trust performance filters in the environment. Found it on eBay Rediculously cheap from a brand that had been tested.
