On a 13 xs coupe what are the two lights to the inside of the hid headlights ? In other words between the hid and the grille ?

I thought 2011-on had fogs in bumper, and headlights only had city lights.

As opposed to the 2009-2010 which have city, and fog.

 

This car has fog lights lower in the front bumper though.

have you checked your owners manual or gone somewhere dark and got in/out of your vehicle while changing all the settings on the light dongle to figure out when it turns on?

 

I am getting it next week, just thought I'd ask as the sales mgr didn't know today!

Its the same on all the 2011 - 2013 xs coupes its the DRL

 

On 2011+ coupes, those are the parking lights. The coupe does not have daytime running lights (DRLs). The fog lights are located in the lower bumper. The parking lights come on with the main beam headlights and can also be turned on independent of the main beam head lights. Turning on the parking lights will also turn on the rear tail lamps.

Parking lights get their name from way back - if you were parked alongside the road and you remained in your vehicle for an extended period of time, as a safety measure, you would turn off your main beam headlights and leave the parking lights on so that the vehicle would be seen in the dark. Law enforcement/EMT personnel still follow this procedure.

 

Time for a new sales person.

 

They didn't flash when I tried the blinker that I saw, the outside of the headlights blinked yellow. N
