I think EVERYONE has the one on the steering wheel bezel. There is a DIY here, and it was actually very easy to do: https://www.myg37.com/forums/d-i-y-i...ement-diy.html

I dont know about the Shifter as I have a 6MT, but I know there are DIY for removing that as well.

Not sure what year your G is but my 2008 had the exact same scratches on the wheel and shifter. The steering wheel issue is actually a problem Infiniti had with paint adhesion and is/was covered under warranty. I got mine changed out before the warranty expired. The shift **** is usually from the previous owner having rings on their shift hand. The metal surface prep used on the metal bits isn't very robust. The door pulls probably have scratches from the seat belts, buckles, coat buttons and so on. you can either polish them out with a buffer, paint the metal bits or order new ones from Infiniti

Any chance they would cover this on an 08 with 36k miles if it was a known issue?

Yes, but by the power of grayskull (and this forum) I was hoping to gain some more information from our G37 brethren whom maybe have had this done outside of warranty and thus giving me higher hopes and the will to actually make the drive to the dealer.
