Windows not working properly after disconnecting battery

So last night the touchscreen ECU for my airbags froze and wouldn't let me adjust the height, and also wouldn't shut off once the car was turned off... Long story short, I figured id just disconnect the negative on the battery just to reset everything.
Connected the battery up just now, and everything is back to normal beside my windows. Automatic down works fine, but automatic up is non-existent in both passenger and driver windows. They go up fine, but its the automatic up thats not working. Also when i open the door, the window still cracks that half an inch as always, but wont return to all the way up once the door is closed. It just goes down another half inch everytime I open and close the door...
Anyone run into this issue before or have any ideas how to fix it?

It's a common problem after disconnecting the battery.

You have to take it to the dealer. There is nothing...absolutely NOTHING we can do about it....although, you might try to search this forum for "window reset", but I HIGHLY doubt you'll find anything there.

Good luck.

Hey I had the same problem. You just have to reset the windows which should fix it. What you need to do to do that is roll the windows all the way down. then roll them all the way up but once they are up keep the window switches held up for 10 seconds once the windows are all the way up then release the buttons after the 10 sexonds. once you do that they should work fine.
Its also in the owners manual but who reads that thing.

I did do my research btw. I was looking through the forum for quite awhile before i started a thread. I was just unaware there was a specific reset for the windows particularly. So my search was dead ended until you mentioned "window reset" in particular. Anyways, I appreciate the help Rad

Like so many before you, you didn't get good results because you didn't search properly or deeply enough. Use the advanced search function. Type the word "window" into the search field. Select the option the search only for threads with that word in the title. The first page of results has 3 or 4 threads where this issue was asked and addressed.

Hopefully this will allow searching to be more useful to you in the future.

Unfortunately, I'm not as good at it as Jeremy is.

But I'm getting a ton of practice in on here.

This website is full of useful information. I just had the same problem after resetting a engine code by removing the negative ground. Now it's fixed, thanks.
