Painted Tail lights and Rain?

I had my tail lights painted/darkened this past Sunday (so 6 days ago). It's raining pretty heavily here now and I just want to make sure I'm safe for driving in the rain even though they were painted last Sunday. Thoughts?

Yes 2 days after is fine. Paint "dries" quickly, but "cures" slowly. For paint to fully cure it can take like 4-10 weeks which is why the main precaution to fresh paint is avoiding any wax. This allows the finish to breathe and evaporate all solvents. I assume your paint shop uses a spray booth that will bake the finish (150-200F) once it's finished painting. Even if they didn't sitting in the sun for 2 days is enough.

Your painted tails may be more prone to showing water spots compared to your cars' paint, I'd put some finishing wax on them to give a little protection from water spots etching into your clear coat. But like mentioned above, you should be fine regarding the "wait time".

I don't know if anyone can help me here but I want to see if anyone is familiar with this. I originally had a crappy spray paint can sprayed on my tail lights to darken them. I had a place sand that off to factory color which was obviously red. They went through the whole process to apple the actually paint this time and do it the right way. I can say it looks great. Perfect. The only thing I notice is that I see these little tiny bubble dots on my back lights and I can say ya not from the rain because I've had them re done twice. Anyone know maybe whats going on? Thanks

Does anybody maybe know about this issue? These little spots show up on my lights in the rain (and they are not rain drops) then once the sun comes out and the lights dry they go away and it looks perfect like nothing was there. What could be causing this maybe? Click on the link in the pervious posts to see the picture. Thank you
