Talking Q50 Engine Dress

Anybody know if the Q50's engine cover will work with our engine? I hate the look of the new "G" but I think if the engine cover was repainted it would look a worlds better than our current engine cover:

I believe that one pictured is for the hybrid engine isn't it? You could test fit a cover from the current M hybrid to see if it fits. The engine will be the same.

Don't drive with your hood open and no one will see it.

Wow. Some haters with useless comments I see. It was a simple question, if you didn't know the answer or have a useful suggestion you need not comment. Some people enjoy dressing up their engine bay, and I happen to be one of em . If you like to leave yours alone then thats great too .

I don't see how making your engine bay look how the owner wants it to look is "ricing it out" lilwizzer. And how is taking an OEM part and swapping it out for a different looking OEM part is "rice"

Please explain how that is rice and why you felt the need to "fix" someone's post to reflect it.

I personally think the OPs question is legit. I think that engine cover looks a lot better than our current one. Idk if I'd take the trouble of modifying it if it wasn't a direct fit to have it...but still, better looking.

If you alter an already good looking product to make it "look better by painting it" is rice. Upgrades should be made to make a car perform better, and wasting time, money, and effort on painting a plastic cover is absolutely ridiculous.

Remember plain and simple will always look better.

to answer Ops question, answer is; There is no way to tell if the cover will bolt to the existing 3.7L engine because we dont know if all the components are the same ie: Intake manifold/throttle body positioning and also mounting point locations, only way to find out is to wait and see when the car is released, so any answer you get now is just an assumption therefore not valid.
