Squeaky Window Seal

My driver's side window seal is squeaking every time I open or close the window, which includes closing the door (because the window goes up slightly on the coupe when you close the door). I searched for a fix, but all I have come across is recommendations for silicone spray, which I have already tried.

I probably will end up replacing the window seal, but I wanted to see if anyone had any recommendations on what else to try to stop the squeaking.

I had the same issue, and got it fixed. I cleaned the window seals thoroughly with a towel using soapy water followed by degreaser. Afterward, I used silicone spray to lube it back up and problem has been gone for months now!

Hope that helps.

Same deal with me, I'm going to try what jon23 suggested. Hope others had success with theirs.

I got the same problem but what annoys me the most the wind noise that comes from the drivers side window. I read somewhere I can adjust the angle of the window but I have no clue how.

When you take the door panel off, there are screws that control the angle of the window.

Jon,

Thanks for the info. After 4 months my squeak is finally gone after a good cleaning. (Didn't lube it in any way)

Thank you!

Having the same issues with driver side window, can you post up which silcone spray you used? Also my driver side window wont automatically close with the button it goes up and comes down, its been programmed but still does it? I can close it manually though... any ideas?
