question about fog lights (reverse polarity?)

so I installed a hid kit for the fog lights with a HID harness, used the yellow as power and black for ground, when the headlight switch is on AUTO and the foglight switch turned ON, the fog lights won't turn ON when the car starts but the headlights do, sometimes one foglight turns ON and the other one doesn't, but when the fog lights are OFF and I flip them ON after the headlights turn ON then they stay ON like there wasn't a problem...

I'm basically wondering if its popping up an error code and if i should buy the error code eliminator, but if the car has reverse polarity the error code eliminator can blow up, and if the car is wired for reverse polarity I can just flip the input plug that goes into the HID ballast and it should be fine right? help me out guys I don't know what the problem is.

also the fog lights are H11 rewired for the aero bumper, I'm not using the fog lights in the headlights

Sorry on the experience though IMO I'd take it out and return it if possible. There are many "Plug and play versions on Ebay and thats how I got my 6000k blues on mine...they fit right into the stock plug and no problems ...I've seen chop jobs had problems yet these ones I found are not expensive! I purchased mine for $59 on ebay took about a week to get and around 30 min to install each side due to the Ballast.

Good luck!

I just installed my 8k HID upper fogs also. My lights acted the same.... so I rewired everything to make sure every cable, and problem disappeared...
It could just be bad contact with some of the wires...
