Window Decal for $50/month

So, my dealer has a program where you put their decal on the front/back top part of the window for $50/month. Every 3 months or more, you can go in and they verify it's there, and give you a check. It's a pretty subtle white lettering decal, similar to what you would see on a loaner car.

At first I thought it was retarded for $50 month, but then I realized...My car is parked 75% of the week in my work garage, and the other 25% I'm driving it I don't really see the decals on the inside, not to mention it would literally cover the maintenance + extra for the life of the lease.

What do you guys think? Has anyone done it?

For $50 a MONTH - I'd do it. $600/year. Easy...

Honestly - never heard of any dealer doing this. Most try to keep a license plate frame on the car or something like that...

Believe it or not...every dealership around here seems to do it...

Sawgrass Infiniti, Coconut Creek Infiniti...I don't see any thing on their websites, but they offer it at the dealer.

Originally, I thought it was pretty stupid, but then I realized it really doesn't affect me too much. An extra $600/year (which would easily cover all maintenance) plus more...just for two decals...

I'm going in for service in a few weeks, and was thinking of doing it...

Sounds funny that anyone who paid $40K for a car cared to save $600 a year by making said car looked like a rental. I would rather drive a Maxima with nothing on it, and save way more than that.

Just because you drive a $40k car doesn't mean you can't save on the obvious. But I guess it depends on your use of the car. Like the OP, my G is parked 75% of the time. And the times I do drive it, it's not much. Average about 700 miles a month.

Yes you can, it's your car your money. Just no way I would do it to mine.

Sawgrass is doing this? No Way lol. I wouldnt mind putting a 'small' logo on the back along with other decals of mods done, but thats only if my car was hella modded and car show was my thing lol.

But interesting nevertheless

I normally don't like advertisements of any kind, but $50 a month and a small decal is acceptable. For now I just have a license plate frame from TN-129.

I remember when dealers used to put their name onto the back of the car with rivets and you got nothing for it. If you wanted it off, it left holes in the metal.

I'm always amazed by how many CAA (Canadian equivalent of AAA basically) members voluntarily put CAA bumper stickers on their cars, and they're not paid a dime, nor do those stickers give them any roadside coverage.

That's pretty awesome. I would do it if my dealership offered it. I'll take the extra $600 a year.
[rant]I'm still trying to get over the fact that even though we drive a "$40k" car, that people still think it's "like the bestest car in the world". C'mon man, it's an Infiniti. Sorry to burst your bubble but there are WAAAYYYY nicer cars in existence. [/rant]

my thoughts exactly. furthermore, is 40k the point where you wouldn't put a sticker on a car? i'm sure someone can argue the same logic with a 30k car, etc...i chuckle everytime someone uses the "40k car" line.
