Headlight Tint feedback please!

Hello All,

I am thinking about getting my headlights tinted when I get my windows done. Does anyone have any pics of theirs that I could see? I do not want very dark, just a light smoke.

Thanks!

Don't do it....PLEASE. It looks bad. If you're going to do ANYTHING to your headlights get them painted.

This is what happens if you do and try to remove it (bat's overlays may be a different story):

Why do you say looks bad? I think these pics look awesome! I agree it looks bad if you remove it, but why would you?

Thanks! No disrespect at all!

Tinting is cheap and why would you in the first place, you're basically dimming your headlight output. And if you're using the ones with the lowbeam and drl cutout, it's just not clean. Can't compare to the quality and look of painted lights.

If you plan to frequent the forum then you're going take it off eventually and possibly consider paint the housing.

Thanks everyone. From the responses I'm gathering, and from other posts I have seen...the headlight tint is not the greatest idea. I definetley agree that painting the housing looks much better! Does anyone have steps they used to do this?

Don't please don't think the headlights. Just paint the headlights and it will look like you have them smoked.

This is bref's car. You can see more pictures at his garage but it looks like he smoked his headlights but all he did was paint his shrouds and headlights

I agree. Taking the headlights apart also allows other upgrades to be done as per your tastes. I will be getting mine back from Breftayka this week and hope to post installed pictures this weekend.

I am glad that I sent them to Bref to be done. I have seen too many condensation horror stories to try it myself. It helps that Bref can paint about 1,069 times better than me, too.

If you would like to try it yourself, there is a DIY in the DIY section.
