Those with Dyode Dynamis LED Bulbs (Help me with Stage 2 or 3)

OK, ordered Stage 3 Infiniti LED Kit in white for my 2009 G37 Sedan and their LED white back up lights (Their Brightest Ones, the 6W).

they don't ship until tomorrow, MNonday 6/24/2012.

My question is:

1. Those with Stage 2, I am sure you like them, BUT, do you ever ponder ther thought that MAYBE you should have went a little Brighter, via Stage 3?

2. Conversly, those with Stage 3 Lights, do you ever think they are TOO BRIGHT, and you wished you went with their Stage 2 Kit?

Just want to know from those who are using these exact same bulbs please.

Thanks

Gary

I have stage 2 and have no complaints....other than the map light adhesive no longer sticks so they now rest on the back side of the light cover. I plan to replace the adhesive with 3M so hopefully that will take care of it.

i got stage 2 for the majority of my car, but i wanted the extra brightness on the lights on the bottom of the door so i got those stage 3. i think the stage 2 is perfect, i feel like stage 3 would have made it blinding. also with just the stage 2 the vanity lights BLIND me... idk if they are brighter on stage 3, but make sure you angle them away from your eyes when you install... and like weis said, the map lights dont stick well, you should make sure you have some real double stick tape around when you get them, and install them in the same spot on both sides, if they are slightly off you can see the difference in the light origin when you look at the lights.

as for backup lights, i got the same ones, sooo much nicer than stock. and i love the clean look of the white light as opposed to the yellowish stock.

I am excited to try out the back up lights. Are they easy to swap out. The rear back ups?

I've got stage 2 and it's plenty bright for me. Also, I had sticking issues with the map light as well but after a good cleaning with rubbing alcohol and holding in place for a few minutes, I haven't had a problem (this was even during the winter). When doing the install, make sure you wiggle the bulb inside the connector if it doesn't light up at first. Also, when doing the glove box, make sure the headlights are switched to the "ON" position. Otherwise, the glove box won't light up. Paul's customer service has been quick and responsive for me and the lights are a nice clean white.

oh god no...

im assuming uve never taken out your tail lights...

you will need: 10mm ratchet (needs to be a long socket), soft rag, tiny flat-head, your replacement light.

1) First you have to open the trunk, then take off the black plastic piece right on the front center where the trunk closes onto, you just rip the edges up carefully and then rip the middle up, its 4 clips.
2) Then you have to take off the grey carpet piece along the back wall, its 4 mini snap things and 4 giant snap things, you need a tiny flat head...
3) Once that's out you will need a long 10mm ratchet to take off the nuts holding the lights on, there are 3 on each side, be careful not to drop them in the crack, you will never get them back.
4) Then you should unplug the plug on each side. (tiny flat-head will help)
5) Then you can start trying to take the light off, i suggest having a soft rag around so you can rest the light assembly on the rag on the bumper, because the wires aren't long enough to work with... to take the lights off you have to put your fingers in the crack along the edge (on the side of the car) (if you look inside the trunk behind where the nuts you took off were you will see the clips, they are brown) so you need to pull really hard to get the clips to pop out, they are horrible clips, a good way to do it is to loosen it up a bit and then shove a rag in the top and pull it down to make more space, if you can get enough of the rag in you can pop them with just the rag, if not it will give your fingers more room. it hurts a lot btw.
5.5) There is a black ring gasket on each of the studs coming off the light housing, they may be stuck to the car or they may stay on the studs, make sure you take any that stick to the car and put them on the stud, if the wind blows you will lose them, and they are there to make sure water doesn't leak into your car through the screw holes, so no reason to not take extra care just in case.
6) Then once you have the lights off there wont be enough room to work with them still connected, so you will have to rest the light on your rag so it doesn't scratch up the bumper and then pop out the black gasket and then you will have the light freed from the car.
7) Also the led is a little bigger than the stock bulb so its a tight fit, but it will go in, don't push too hard.
8) Stick the wire through, throw the E-Brake on, drop her in reverse and test them out before you put the lights back together, you will be pissed if u close it and find out the light is sitting in the socket wrong.
9) Once your sure they work put them back on and enjoy.

side note: if your thinking about getting led turn signals then you should probably wait till you decide yes or no before you install these, no reason to have to take them off again... and if you do decide to get turn signals, make sure you get the hyper-blink resistor with them, its necessary.

good luck!

yea, i have them. if u look under the g37 stuff on the DD site they are there. and as for being worth it, they do look better, its a much crisp clean looking light. its about the same brightness as stock bulbs. they are deffinitly more of a "looks" thing than a "performance" thing, for me they were worth it, i love how much cleaner the light is, but for others it may not be worth the 40 bucks. also, if your gonna order them then wait until after your other package arrives, you'll be a little happier that way.
