Day time running lights.

I'm thinking about adding this oem, lights next to the foglights. Anyone has this set up? And should I do it?

It's subjective, I personally think its too much lighting to have the fog lights and DRL's squeezed there

I have it installed on my 2012 G37x Sedan, I'm happy with it. It enhances the vehicle's appearance.

Are you doing it for safety or appearance concerns?

The LEDs I've seen look nice, but trust me, nobody really pays attention; if you're doing it for looks I think the money's better spent elsewhere.

For the cost ~$1k installed, IMO not worth it. Just depends what your priorities are. I like the LED's, but the fit and finish of the kit leaves a little to be desired for the price as well.

not worth the money IMO. like others said, it's too pricey for what it is, and it looks like Infiniti just threw some LEDs where they could find a spot just to follow the LED bandwagon. Too many cars are copying Audi with LEDs these days.

I don't know of any circumstances where both the fog lights and daytime running lights can be on at the same time so I do not see the issue.

I have DRLs on my 2012 G37x sedan because studies show they cut accidents.

Up close the lights don't look that bright but down the road they are noticeable because they are angled to be bright at a distance.

Q&A: Daytime running lights

Nearly all published reports indicate DRLs reduce multiple-vehicle daytime crashes. A study examining the effect of Norway's DRL law from 1980 to 1990 found a 10 percent decline in daytime multiple-vehicle crashes.1 A Danish study reported a 7 percent reduction in DRL-relevant crashes in the first 15 months after DRL use was required and a 37 percent decline in left-turn crashes.2 In a second study covering 2 years and 9 months of Denmark's law, there was a 6 percent reduction in daytime multiple-vehicle crashes and a 34 percent reduction in left-turn crashes.3 A 1994 Transport Canada study comparing 1990 model year vehicles with DRLs to 1989 vehicles without them found that DRLs reduced relevant daytime multiple-vehicle crashes by 11 percent.4

In the United States, a 1985 Institute study determined that commercial fleet passenger vehicles modified to operate with DRLs were involved in 7 percent fewer daytime multiple-vehicle crashes than similar vehicles without DRLs.5 A small-scale fleet study conducted in the 1960s found an 18 percent lower daytime multiple-vehicle crash rate for DRL-equipped vehicles.6 Multiple-vehicle daytime crashes account for about half of all police-reported crashes in the United States. A 2002 Institute study reported a 3 percent decline in daytime multiple-vehicle crash risk in nine US states concurrent with the introduction of DRLs.7

Federal researchers, using data collected nationwide from 1995-2001, concluded that there was a 5 percent decline in daytime, two-vehicle, opposite-direction crashes and a 12 percent decline in fatal crashes with pedestrians and bicyclists.8 However, a 2008 federal study concluded that DRLs have no significant effect on either of these crash types.
Of course the last sentence says they are worthless.

I have them and I love them. I've had them installed for about 9 mths now and I still have yet to see another g with them installed. I like the look and though they are pricey i think they were worth it. Makes my g stand out from the thousands of OB sedans i see every day. I get nothing but compliments on them and they are very functional. I also like the integrated look. They look like they belong there. I see too many cars now with Custom DRL's that just look out of place. But hey, to each its own.

They look a little yellow-ish. Are they really white in person?

only reason i ever considered this was for insurance purpose:
lowers your premium a bit because of the "safety feature" of having DRLs.
in my case (though i never purchased the LEDs), it wouldve lowered my premium by ~$360 a year.
somewhat worth it, but i still didnt get em LOL

They are actually white with a Bluish tint to them. They are projector leds so from a distance they look more bluish. Close up they look white with a tint of blue

Lol... Everyone is entitled to an opinion. Like I stated earlier, to each its own, I only get compliments about my DRL's though.
