Guys,

I had my driver side seat replaced as well for bubbling issue, but they only replaced the bottom seat and not the "entire" seat itself. Sure enough, after a couple months, the famous bubble returned. At this point, it's not even worth trying to replace again. Out of all the parts they replaced, the seat was the toughest one to get covered under warranty.

They said it's a mechanical problem with one the "arms" within the cushion. So for those that got it replaced like myself, has it returned for anyone? I don't wear wallets in my back pockets or anything of that nature. I also am not overweight and have a set of firm butt cheeks. Either way, the bubble has returned. Anybody have experiences with this coming back?

Trunks, I live in Miami. I think I have used the heated seats 1 time since I have owned the car. I highly doubt there is any correlation to the using that function and the bubble.

Yeah, my service manager was quoting some crazy price, like $1500 for just the seat bottom.

For $2000, i know a reupholster who would redo the whole car interior in Italian leather.

Thanks guys for the invoices. I'm going to call Infiniti Consumer Affairs tomorrow about having my seats redone and let you guys know. As a side note, my 08 G37S Coupe has been pulling hard to the right, so I took it in the dealership and they found nothing wrong! I had asked them to perform an alignment if it would help, they did the alignment (and charged me the almost 100 bucks for it) and it reduced the pull a bit. I actually had the tech sit next to me and showed him how the car would switch lanes in less than 4 seconds if I let go off the wheel, he kept saying it's the road's crown that causes the car to naturally pull, and that my tires didn't show any sign of abnormal wear and alignment is within specs... Afterward, the SM told me that Infiniti makes their cars like that on purpose, that certain parts and controller arms on the right side of the car are SMALLER than the left, so if we fall asleep while driving, the car would pull to the right, instead of the left and hit oncoming traffic...
Also, if I center my steering wheel, the car just goes left... WTH? I'm calling tomorrow about this too...

Thanks...

It seems to be most common on the black seats...mine is barely noticeable; I try not to drive with my wallet in my pocket...I find that it makes my back hurt after driving for awhile, because my butt is bony since I'm 5'10" and 165.
I haven't seen this issue happen on the lighter interior.

I also noticed that the black leather seems to be "stiffer" than the lighter colors...I drove one with the stone interior and the leather felt softer.
If the black leather is more stiff, maybe the foam should be more firm so it won't allow it to flex as much?

I had a 350Z before and the black leather seemed to be about the same in stiffness, but it stayed in perfect condition and I put 70,000 miles on it. But the foam under the leather was much, much more firm than in the G.

I don't know why the black leather is more stiff, but is sure does seem that way...does anyone else notice this?

i went into the dealer to get it fixed, and they said they ordered a new seat cushion (this was over a year ago). They never ended up calling me once they get the cushion. I ended up selling the car so it didnt matter but you get the picture

I'm here at Tustin Infiniti and they won't replace my seat. I called consumer affairs while they do my oil change and it looks like they will do it since I called consumer affairs. They said they will call me tomorrow so I will let you guys know what happens. Good luck to all of you suffering from "bubble seat" lol.
