what are the other factors besides kelvin? what do most of you run in your headlights? what kelvin?

Most guys run 5000k or 6000k which gives you a pure white with maybe a hint of blue hue in certain angles. You do lose a bit of light output over the 4300k OEM bulbs, but it's not enough to hinder daily driving your car.

I personally would NEVER go anything higher than the 6000k that I am currently running. Even with my Philips Ultinons, I noticed some loss in light output but it wasn't bad enough for me to go back to my ugly yellow stock oem's. I think with my next set of bulbs, I will try out the 5000k ones which are pure white.
