Try automotive panel glue. Bodyshops use it to glue panels on vehicles together.

I haven't tied tape. Do you know of a marine grade that will withstand the weather?

Hopefully soon...

Yeah i hope so. Thanks.

This stuff is used to attach body mouldings and such, so it should be fine.

Thanks for the suggestions.

What I'm finding is even though glues will state plastic, there are exclusions for certain ones like polypropylene, which is what the faux vent is made of.

Right now I'm looking at a polymer bonding kit which is designed specifically to bond polypropylene.

Also, I'm still considering mechanical fastening.

Not yet. I received the polymer bonding kit several weeks ago and it's a bit warmer outside now so soon. Thanks...

Moving along.

I hope this doesn't turn out to be an exercise in futility...

I've bonded the led strips and applied a coat of plasti-dip to cover the led strip base. I used a cut-up straw/tape to protect the leds.

Yeah, I can't wait either. I know it's probably hard to believe, but I haven't had an opportunity to devote the time. It'll probably be late June before I finish it up.

The LED strip is really reasonable. Here's the URL for the LED strips:

You are hooking it up to the main headlight switch I'm assuming right since American g37 doesn't really have day running light
