Illuminated Sill Plates

Can someone please tell me if it is a big (or expensive) deal to install factory style Illuminated Sill Plates on a 08 G37 Journey Coupe...
Is this something I can do do or would I have to have a dealer install them?
Thanks

Not sure of the cost, but I paid $330 factory installed. I assume that all of the wiring is in place from the factory and is part of the interior lighting wiring harness. Check the dealer and orderinfinitiparts.com for pricing. I would imagine that the dealer would charge $100 per hour or so for installation. Figure 2 hours.

Good luck

I got one used for really cheap price... asked the dealer for installation price...$200
I installed it by my self... check out my mod page. search for kevalteam. I wasn't paying $200 for something anyone can do... Good luck!

I installed mine .... not that hard. Hardest part was the double sided tape and the removal of the protective strip while the sill is almost in place. As with the Ambient lighting ... over priced but looks real nice.

I did mine myself....at 10 o clock at night...with nothing but my dome lights to aid me. Its pretty damn straight forward.

Easy job. If you know how to hook up home speakers, you can do this.

Do it yourself. It's very easy. The pain for me was unhooking the wire harness on the passenger side. But like everyone said, it's straightforward.

I believe there is a DIY posted up. There are no instructions I believe. I got the skyline kick plates and the instructions were in Japanese.
