6000K D2S HID bulbs not working

I tried to change out my D2S Hid bulbs this morning to 6000K D2S bulbs and ran into an error. It lit up for a second then shut off. When I swapped it back to the original bulbs they lit up fine.

Any suggestions to what happened? Possible solutions?

Thanks in advance.

What year is your car? Is it a coupe or sedan? Some people were having issues with aftermarket bulbs not working for the headlights. I have a 2010 sedan and I had some $15 ebay bulbs for my headlights that worked flawlessly for about a year. I only changed them because I wanted some better quality bulbs. You may have one those high class G's that will only accept the best or nothing. ;-)

I also have 2011 G37XS sedan and just installed 6000K ultinons but one side does not lit up at first. I have to turn on and off 4 times to get it working everytime.
EXACTLY 4 times on and off.
once they are lit, i can turn off and on 100% working.

aspec2006,

Thanks for the heads up. I returned the set that I bought so I will try that on the next set of bulbs i get. Where did you buy the Ultinons? Website etc....
Willing to try them if these don't work.

Thanks in advance.

Very interesting. I tried some aftermarket bulbs in my '11 sedan and had an issue with the passenger side. Would also have to turn them on and off several times before it would fire and stay on. Hmm...

Ended up putting the OEM back in.
