Some upstanding citizen from work yesterday put a nice dent in my rear quarter panel and didn't bother leaving a note or anything. It pisses me off because I try to park by myself and then I take up two spots so no one is next to me. I look over my car everyday leaving work because my old civic has been hit twice here with no one being nice enough to even apologize. So I ask has anyone done it before? Is it worth it? About how much am I looking at?

 

ABSOLUTELY 100% worth it if they can take it out.

Check out Dent Wizard and see where the nearest place to go is....around here they team up with car dealers, so you find out what day/time they will be at the dealer and then bring your car for an estimate. In my case it was only a few dings here and there and the guy took care of me the day I went.

Last time I used it the going price was $125 a panel, but since I only had a few small dings (each in separate panels) they took care of the whole thing as one panel. One was actually on a body line and after he was done you couldnt tell anything was ever there. The other dings were "in the field" of my exterior door panels, and again once removed no one would tell they were there. Took the dent guy all of 10 minutes to get rid of them all.

Like I said, WELL worth it if they can access the dents/dings in question (sometimes there are braces, etc in the way......but they will determine if its possible first)

 

If the tech doing the removal is good, it's easily worth it as you would never be able to tell the dent/ding was there in the first place.

 

Hell yes...... If its done correctly its far better then the traditional bondo/repaint method...

Definitely. I was working a job in Montana and four yahoos in an oil truck whacked my baby with the door from their white pickup. I was leaving that morning and couldn't wait for them to come back half-sloshed after work, as they always did. Took it to a good body shop and they said they could do push it out for $100, or paint the door for $600. He said it would look pretty good with the former. It looked perfect. I'm happy.

 

100000% worth it I did it was worth every penny all $125 of them..

 

I have had it done 2 times, once for hail damage and was completely satisfied. It the guy knows what he is doing, you'll never be able to tell.

 

Yes it works and 100% worth it. My car was caught in a hail storm back in 2008 and the insurance essentially wanted to replace every exterior panel on my G. They signed me a fat check, I turned around and went to Dent Wizards and bam!! my car looks mint for a 1/2 of cash they gave me. Did my first round of mods with that money.

As a side note: I will say this much. Parking like a douche (ie. taking 2 spots) does not protect your car. It actually pisses people off and they feel more inclined to vandalize your car as you just discovered. You're better of parking real close to a curb somewhere

Im almost to the point where Im going to start a "parking club". I kinda do it now but havent met anyone that I park near. One person has a shiny new G37 sedan, another an Accord Coupe, and another a CTS. We all park near each other because its obvious we take care of our cars, and respect others. Luckily I get to work in time to be centered in all of them, so Im fairly protected, but I make sure to park with plenty of room for the other people in the pseudo-club to get into their spots and not risk opening our doors into each other.
