I used to do it myself, but the problem is nobody near where I live will take the used oil and filter anymore. Rather than drive across town to a designated center with dirty oil in my trunk, I just have the dealer do it now.
In LA? And nobody takes the used oil? Walmart does (if they have the lube center), so does autozone, o'reilly's and any other number of places.
But hey... I've done my own and gone to the dealer. Whatever works for you.
