I recently had to replace the front bumper on my G37 coupe journey (2010). Insurance paid some of it, so I had the body shop install a sport bumper instead. After getting it back, I noticed that the center insert has a rectangular hole cut out on the driver side. With some research, I believe this is the cut out for the Intelligent cruise control.

Here's my question...is there a different insert for cars that came without this option? Or do all of the 2010 sport center grill inserts come with this rectangular cut out?

By the way, I went to my dealership and asked about this. They tried to sell me an OEM cover for this cut out. That might be the way I have to go but still curious that Infiniti wouldn't make an insert for cars without the ICC option. Again, this is a 2010 sport bumper so maybe that is the only insert option I have.

Any thoughts?

The rectangular cutout is only for cars with the Technology package. The majority of them don't have this. It is a completely different mesh piece, not just a cover for the cutout.

 

Answer is YES. G's with the ICC has the mesh with cut out, and the G's without ICC has the regular mesh without a cutout. The same goes for 2008-2010 G's.
